online games
ugh! my hubby is addicted to online games, particularly world of warcraft. when he gets home from work, he would immediately turn on the pc and play, not even bothering to play with our son first. he would only stop to take yosi breaks, dinner and a shower. occassionally he would get up and shoot a basketball with migs but more often than not, he would say "play with mama first." during weekends, he would be playing all day long, unless we had an event to go to or something. it is pretty frustrating especially if i see that my son wants to play with him. ok, fine, he's at home instead of out with friends, but just physically. he would rather chat with his guildmates and take care of his quests and pets. if it would have been just me, i would care less, but it's affecting his relationship with our son. tsk. i hope he gets that soon, before our son grows up....

in-law blues
i've lived with my in laws for the past 3 years, since my hubby and i got married. of course, it's not the most ideal set up for a newly married couple. but there is a thing called economic crunch that get's in the way.
so here i am now with a 2 year old son still under my in laws' care. don't get me wrong they are not nasty. in fact i've come to realize that i am lucky to have them to look after my son when i am away at work. i have no worries about the yayas because i know someone is always checking on them.
but along with that comes the list below, what i call in-law blues:

- they tell you how to deal with helpers
- they complain about you behind your back
- when money is an issue
- they pressure you to have another kid
- they fight in front of you
- they complain to you about other people
- and the list goes on...
i will always pray and work for a house to call our own. but until that time comes, i will endure a few more years of in-law blues.

waiting patiently
today i spent the day with my son and nephew. i took a leave from work and just spent the day playing, goofing around and having that imaginary lightsaber"di di da!" moments. it was so simple yet so fulfilling.
if i had my way, i would resign from work and take care of my son full time. he is in a stage where he surprises us everyday with the things he learns and the stuff he finds out on his own.
but alas, there are bills to pay and a household to support (not mine by the way)... so all i can do is wait for the day when i can say that i'm a stay at home mom... i'm sure it will be just around the corner... patience is a virtue :)
